The European Court of Auditors (ECA) has a few student summer jobs available for the period July-August.

These two-week placements give young people the opportunity to experience life in the workplace for the first time.

The selected students will perform administrative tasks (filing, archiving, scanning documents, converting documents into digital format, stocktaking, etc.) in different ECA services (Medical Service, IT, Data Protection Office, Legal Service, Communication, Events and protocol, Human Resources, etc.).

The students will receive a daily allowance but will have to pay their own accommodation and transport costs.

This year, one place will be reserved for a student with disabilities.

In order to be eligible, applicants should:

    • be aged between 18 and 25 years and still in formal education;
    • be citizens of an EU Member State;
    • have a sound command of English or French;
    • not have held a previous summer job at the ECA.

Successful applicants will be requested to provide a copy of an identity document and a proof that they are attending formal education (a certificate from an educational establishment).

For applicants with disabilities

The successful applicant will be requested to provide a copy of an identity document, a proof that they are attending formal education (a certificate from an educational establishment) and a proof of their disability. The latter proof can be:

    • an official document from a national authority or any accredited body confirming the disability; OR
    • a certificate issued by a medical doctor less than six months ago.

If a doctor’s certificate is submitted, this certificate must:

    • state clearly the condition which the medical doctor considers a disability
    • include confirmation from the signing medical doctor that, to the best of their understanding, the condition in question is a long-term physical, mental, intellectual or sensory impairment which, in interaction with various barriers, may hinder full and effective participation in society on an equal basis with others.

Applications must be submitted using the form below and sent by midday on 21 May 2024 at the latest to: ECA-JOB-ETE@eca.europa.eu.
