We want to make as big a contribution as possible towards a more resilient, sustainable and fairer European Union.
To ensure we can fulfil that ambition, we set goals to guide our work. These goals are set out in our multiannual strategies. Our current strategy covers the period from 2021 to 2025. We have also adopted an artificial intelligence strategy for the 2024-2025 period.
Our strategy for 2021-2025
Our 2021-2025 strategy(opens in new window) sets out our values, mission and vision. It also describes in detail how we plan to meet our strategic goals.
We have three strategic goals for the 2021-2025 period:
Improving accountability, transparency and audit arrangements across all types of EU action
Targeting our performance audits on the areas and topics where we can add most value
Providing strong audit assurance in a challenging and changing environment
Our AI strategy
In our artificial intelligence initial strategy and deployment roadmap, we explain the use of AI in audit, as well as the audit of AI systems. The document outlines our goals and objectives, provides the results of our risk analysis, and proposes an AI roadmap with concrete action to take in 2024 and 2025 to achieve our goals. It aims to serve as input for the ECA's next multiannual strategy.
