The Luxembourg EU Summer School is designed as a forum for EU staff based in Luxembourg and local stakeholders to engage in meaningful dialogue and reflection on essential topics.

The Luxembourg EU Summer School is organized by the interinstitutional working group Relations with European Academia (REA) Network, within the framework of the High-level Initiative on the Attractiveness of Luxembourg (HIAL), with the support of the CALux, all European Union Institutions (EUIs) based in Luxembourg, the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, and the University of Luxembourg.

Scheduled to take place on 9, 10 and 11 July at the Kirchberg Campus of the University of Luxembourg, it is set to welcome around 150 assistants drawn from all EUIs present in Luxembourg, and from Luxembourgish academia and government. Through a series of workshops, panel discussions, and networking sessions, attendees will gain valuable insights into different topics.

The objective of this forum is to provide a platform for in-depth discussions led by experts from EU institutions, Luxembourgish authorities, academia, and the private sector – but also to create a space for networking and communication, focusing on the attractiveness of Luxembourg for EU staff.

2024 Topic of discussion: the impact of AI on our daily work

In today's rapidly changing technological landscape, the latest developments in artificial intelligence (AI) have emerged as the focal point of discussions across various fields. From ethics and legal considerations to multiculturalism, finance, and sustainability, the integration of AI seems to present both challenges and opportunities. The Luxembourg EU Summer School offers as a unique opportunity to explore and debate on the impact of AI on our daily work.

This first edition, focused on the "Impact of AI in our daily work", aims to explore how artificial intelligence impacts on various facets of our professional and personal lives. The 2024 programme is intended to provide in-depth discussions around the evolving landscape of AI in our professional endeavours.

We invite you to join us at the Luxembourg EU Summer School 2024, where knowledge meets innovation, and collaboration drives progress.
