Following the CAP reform of 2004, the uncertainties regarding how the new policy would be implemented and the attendant complexities required a review of existing audit approaches. Against this background, the Contact Committee approved the creation of an information network between those directly concerned by the subject, on an informal basis. The Network’s objective is the exchange of information between the national SAIs and the European Court of Auditors, thus enabling participants to gain a better understanding of the new policy and the necessary audit approaches.

 

The Network held a seminar in 2006. Following a survey in 2010 the Network participants expressed the desire to maintain and to develop the Network. As a result a joint training event of the Contact Committee and the EUROSAI was held in October 2010 in Prague.
