On the road to cyber-mature organisations with cyber-aware staff
This October marks the 8th edition of the EU’s European Cybersecurity Month (ECSM), an initiative promoting online security and raising awareness about cybersecurity among EU citizens.
On 29 September, for the fourth time the EU institutions, bodies and agencies (EUIBAs) will get together virtually to kick off this important campaign ahead of the official launch the following day (#CyberSecMonth, @CyberSecMonth).
This year the ECA has the honour of co-hosting the event with the European Commission
Bringing together key cybersecurity experts from the EU institutions and their peers in Luxembourg society, the two institutions have prepared a rich programme. Some of the highlights of the day include:
- the important role of women in reinforcing the cybersecurity stance of our organisations and helping to fill the current skills gap in the field;
- presentation of
ECSM 2021 and the activities planned by the main organisers (ENISA and Commission), with a focus on Luxembourg;
- how common binding rules for baseline security measures at all
EUIBAs will prepare them to face increasing cyber threats;
- some good practices which
EUIBAs have successfully implemented to strengthen their cybersecurity and resilience.
