Item 1 of 1 New Members for the European Court of Auditors Luxembourg     02/02/2012 Following receipt of proposals from the national authorities, and after consultation with the European Parliament, the Council of the European Union has appointed the following new Members to the European Court of Auditors. Four new Members of the Court of Auditors have been appointed as of 1 March 2012, for a renewable term of six years: Mr Kevin CARDIFF (Ireland), Mr Ville ITÄLÄ (Finland), Mr Henrik OTBO, (Denmark), Mr Pietro RUSSO (Italy). Furthermore, the six-year mandates of the following current Members of the Court of Auditors have been renewed as of 1 March 2012: Mr Vítor Manuel da SILVA CALDEIRA (Portugal), Mr Karel PINXTEN (Belgium), Mr H.G. WESSBERG (Sweden).
